The XO Platform’s  Knowledge Graph (KG) helps you turn your static FAQ text into an intelligent, personalized conversational experience. It goes beyond the usual practice of capturing FAQs in the form of flat question-answer pairs. Instead, the Knowledge Graph enables you to create a hierarchical structure of key domain terms and associate them with context-specific questions and their alternatives, synonyms, and Machine learning-enabled classes. This structure, when trained by the Platform, generates a Knowledge Graph that enables an intelligent FAQ experience.<\/span><\/p>\n

To generate a Knowledge Graph, you need to add FAQs to an existing or new VA. If you have not created a VA, refer to <\/span>Building a Virtual Assistant.<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

To open the Knowledge Graph builder, follow the below steps:<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Log in to the XO Platform and open the VA to which you want to add the Knowledge Graph.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Select the <\/span>Build<\/strong> tab from the top menu.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. On the left menu, select <\/span>Conversation Skills <\/strong>and click <\/span>Knowledge Graph<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. You will notice that there is already a Knowledge Graph with the name of your assistant.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Create the Knowledge Graph Node Structure<\/span><\/span><\/h1>\n

    By default, the name of the VA becomes the root node of the hierarchy and you can edit this. Create the rest of the nodes below the root node.<\/span><\/p>\n

    To create nodes, follow the below steps:<\/span><\/p>\n

    1. \n
        \n
      1. Open the Knowledge Graph.<\/span><\/li>\n
      2. On the top left of the Knowledge Graph window, hover over the root node.<\/span><\/li>\n
      3. Click the <\/span>+<\/strong> icon. A text box appears below to <\/span>Add Node<\/strong>. For better performance, there is a restriction of 50k FAQs spread across 20k maximum allowed number of nodes.<\/span><\/li>\n
      4. Type the name of the node in the text box and press <\/em>Enter<\/em><\/strong>. A warning would be displayed in case you enter a duplicate node name, i.e. if a child node with the same name already exists under the parent node.
        Note<\/strong>: This node becomes a child for the root node and can be referred to as a First-level node.<\/span><\/em><\/li>\n
      5. Repeat steps 1 to 3 to create other First-level nodes.<\/span><\/li>\n
      6. After you create First-level nodes, create child nodes as follows:<\/span>\n

        1. Hover over any First-level node, and click the plus icon to create its child node.<\/span><\/li>\n
        2. You can create a child node for any level node by hovering over it and clicking the <\/span>+<\/strong> icon.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
        3. Follow the same process to create multiple node levels. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Build the Knowledge Graph<\/span><\/span><\/h1>\n

          The next step is to add Knowledge Graph Intents which can be either:<\/span><\/p>\n
