To add the Skype channel to your bot, you need a developer Microsoft Bot Framework <\/em>account to configure the connection between Skype and Kore.ai. Adding the Skype channel to your Kore.ai bot is a three-step process to allow end-users to interact with your bot. To add the Skype channel to your bot, follow the below steps:<\/p>\n

  1. Register the Bot <\/strong>– In your Microsoft Bot Framework<\/em> developer account, you must register the bot by adding all the bot details and creating the App ID<\/strong> and Password<\/strong>. To register the bot, you must have created and registered for a free account in the Microsoft Bot Framework<\/a>\u00a0developer portal.<\/li>\n
  2. Enable Channel<\/strong> – After registering the bot, you must enable the channel.<\/li>\n
  3. Publish Channel<\/strong> – After the channel is enabled and all configurations are verified, you must publish the bot to make it available for developers.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Add Skype Channel<\/span><\/h2>\n

    To complete this procedure, you must have\u00a0or register for a new developer account\u00a0in the\u00a0Microsoft Bot Framework<\/a>\u00a0developer portal.<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. In Bot Builder, under the Bots<\/strong> section, click the bot you want to add the Skype channel to.<\/li>\n
    2. On the Channels<\/strong>\u00a0tab, click the Expand<\/strong>\u00a0 icon for the Skype<\/strong>\u00a0section. The Skype\u00a0Channel<\/strong> page is displayed.<\/li>\n
    3. Log in to the Microsoft Bot Framework<\/em>\u00a0portal, and then click Register a bot<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    4. On the Register a bot<\/strong> tab, under the Bot profile<\/strong> section, enter\u00a0your Bot Name<\/strong>, Bot handle<\/strong>, and Description<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    5. In the Configuration<\/strong> section, paste the Webhook URL<\/strong> from the Bot Builder into the\u00a0Messaging endpoint<\/strong> field. For example, https:\/\/bots.kore.ai\/hooks\/skype\/st-2724c525-484b-55ca-a844-8d7dfa6b6b23<\/span><\/li>\n
    6. Click Create Microsoft App ID and password<\/strong>\u00a0as shown in the following illustration.

    7. On the\u00a0Generate App ID\u00a0and password<\/strong> page, click Generate an app password to continue<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    8. Save the generated Password<\/strong> and the\u00a0App ID<\/strong> to use later in the Register the\u00a0Bot<\/strong> tab in\u00a0Bot Builder for the Skype Channel<\/strong> page.\n

      Note: The only time the full password is displayed is when it is generated and displayed in the Generate Password<\/strong> dialog. Copy and save the password to a secure location until added to the Skype Channel<\/strong> page in Bot Builder.<\/p>\n

      \"Skype<\/a><\/li>\n

    9. Click Finish and go back to Bot Framework. <\/strong>The\u00a0Register a bot<\/strong> tab is displayed.<\/li>\n
    10. To save your settings, agree to Privacy statement<\/strong>, Terms of Use,<\/strong>\u00a0and Code of Conduct<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    11. Click Register<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    12. On the Bot created<\/strong> dialog, click OK<\/strong>. The\u00a0My bots<\/strong> tab is displayed.<\/li>\n
    13. Optionally, click Test<\/strong> to check the connection to your bot. The Endpoint authorization succeeded<\/em> message is displayed.<\/li>\n
    14. In\u00a0Bot Builder, on the\u00a0Register the Bot<\/strong>\u00a0tab,\u00a0paste the App ID<\/strong> and Password <\/strong>you saved from the Microsoft Bot Framework<\/em>\u00a0developer portal into the APP ID<\/strong> and APP PASSWORD <\/strong>fields.<\/li>\n
    15. Click Next<\/strong>\u00a0as shown in the following illustration.

    16. On the Enable Channel <\/strong>tab, review how to edit the Skype channel settings in the\u00a0Microsoft Bot Framework<\/a> developer portal if needed, and then click Next<\/strong>.\u00a0The Publish Channel<\/strong> tab is displayed.<\/li>\n
    17. \u00a0In the Enable Channel<\/strong> section, click Yes<\/strong> to enable the Skype channel for Kore.ai.<\/li>\n
    18. Click Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      The channel configuration settings are saved and the Skype<\/strong>\u00a0Channel<\/strong> page is closed.<\/p>\n

      Edit Skype Channel<\/span><\/h1>\n

      To edit the Skype channel, follow the below steps:<\/p>\n

        \n
      1. Hover over the channel to modify, and then click the Settings<\/strong> \u00a0icon displayed to show the command menu displayed in the following illustration.

        \nSelect one of the following commands to modify the channel:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
          \n
        • Edit<\/strong> \u2013 Click to open the Skype\u00a0Channel<\/strong>\u00a0page.<\/li>\n
        • Disable\/Enable<\/strong> \u2013 Click Disable<\/strong> to temporarily disable the use of the Skype channel for your bot. When the channel is disabled, click Enable<\/strong> to enable use of the Skype\u00a0channel.<\/li>\n
        • Delete<\/strong> \u2013 Click Delete<\/strong>. On the Delete Confirmation<\/strong> dialog box, click OK<\/strong> to permanently delete the bot channel configuration.\n

          Warning: This operation is permanent and cannot be undone.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\r\n\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t<\/div>\r\n
