{"id":47665,"date":"2022-10-04T10:44:59","date_gmt":"2022-10-04T09:44:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/developer.kore.ai\/v10-1\/?p=47665"},"modified":"2022-10-05T14:35:12","modified_gmt":"2022-10-05T13:35:12","slug":"update-booking-task","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/developer.kore.ai\/v10-1\/docs\/bots\/how-tos\/update-booking-task\/","title":{"rendered":"Create an \u2018Update Booking\u2019 Task"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This document is part of the documentation that shows you the steps in creating a sample Travel Planning Assistant.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"w-separator size_small with_line width_default thick_1 style_solid color_border align_center\"><div class=\"w-separator-h\"><\/div><\/div>\n<h1><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Assistant_Capabilities\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Assistant Capabilities<\/span><\/span><\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The assistant we build will perform basic travel booking tasks, as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Check the status of a flight, based on the flight number provided by the user, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/developer.kore.ai\/v10-1\/docs\/bots\/how-tos\/travel-planing-assistant\/create-a-travel-virtual-assistant\/#Create_a_Dialog_Task\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">as seen here<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Update a flight booking, <a href=\"https:\/\/developer.kore.ai\/v10-1\/docs\/bots\/how-tos\/update-booking-task\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">as discussed in this article<\/a>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Perform a flight change, based on the current flight and new flight preference provided by the user, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/developer.kore.ai\/v10-1\/uncategorised\/change-flight-task\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">as seen here<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In this article, therefore, we will be configuring the assistant to update a booking, by configuring an Update Booking Intent. For the purpose of this use case, we will work with a Name update.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"w-separator size_small with_line width_default thick_1 style_solid color_border align_center\"><div class=\"w-separator-h\"><\/div><\/div>\n<h1><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Update_Booking_Dialog_Task_Intent\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Update Booking Dialog Task \/ Intent<\/span><\/span><\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Update booking task will prompt the user to enter the booking number corresponding to the booking that they want to update.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It would then prompt for the type of update \u2013 e.g. Name or Passport Number.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A service call will be made to fetch the details, and then another service call to update the booking.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The success\/failure message will be displayed.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">To create an Update Booking Dialog Task \/ Intent:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Open the Travel Planning Assistant\u00a0 with the Get Flight Status task already configured.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Navigate to <\/span><strong>Build &gt; Conversational Skills &gt; Dialog Tasks<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Click <\/span><strong>Create Dialog<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> from the top right. The <\/span><strong>Create Dialog <\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">screen will open.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Enter the following details:<\/span><\/li>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Intent Name<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> \u2013 Enter the Intent name, this is the phrase that triggers the dialog. The intent name should be simple and not more than 3-4 words. For example, <\/span><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Update Booking<\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You can add a <\/span><strong>description<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and under <\/span><strong>More Options<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> other dialog-related details. Let\u2019s retain the default settings without any changes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You can also include utterances to train this intent.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Select <\/span><strong>Try Conversation Driven Dialog Builder<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> option.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Click <\/span><strong>Proceed.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Property Panel for User Intent will be displayed. We will be using a mock API created specifically for this purpose<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> with the following fields \u2013 FirstName, LastName, Address, City, Country, ZipCode, BookingNumber.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Click the <\/span><strong>+<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> below the <\/span><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">UpdateType <\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Entity node<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Select
