To add Telegram as a channel to your Kore.ai assistant, you must create a bot on the Telegram platform. Adding the Telegram channel to your Kore.ai VA allows end-users to interact with it using their <\/span>Telegram<\/span><\/em> account. You need a Telegram account to complete this procedure.<\/span><\/p>\n

To add the Telegram channel, follow the below steps:<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 1: Configure a Telegram Bot<\/span><\/span><\/h1>\n

  1. Log into <\/span>Telegram<\/strong> and search for <\/span>@BotFather<\/span><\/em> from the Search bar as shown below.

  2. Select <\/span>@BotFather <\/strong>and click <\/span>START<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. In the chat section, type <\/span>\/newbot<\/span><\/em> in the <\/span>Message <\/strong>box and click <\/span>Send<\/strong>.

  4. On sending the<\/span> \/newbot<\/span><\/em> message, <\/span>BotFather<\/span><\/em> prompts you to enter a <\/span>Name<\/strong> for the new bot to be created. Preferably, give the same name as that of the Kore.ai assistant for which the channel is enabled.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. After providing the name, <\/span>BotFather<\/span><\/em> prompts for the <\/span>Username<\/strong> for the new bot to be created. Provide any name that ends with<\/span> bot<\/span><\/em>. For example, sample_bot or SampleBot.

  6. After providing the username, <\/span>BotFather<\/span><\/em> displays a confirmation message and access token. Note the access token to enter in the <\/span>Configurations<\/strong> tab of the Telegram Channel page.

    Step 2: Configure the Channel<\/span><\/span><\/h1>\n

    1. In the XO Platform, select the assistant that you want to enable the channel for.<\/span><\/li>\n
    2. Go to <\/span>Deploy > Channels > Telegram<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n
    3. Go to the <\/span>Configurations <\/strong>tab of the Telegram Channel page, enter the<\/span> Bot Name<\/strong> of your Telegram bot in the <\/span>Bot Name <\/strong>field.<\/span><\/li>\n
    4. Enter the <\/span>Access Token<\/strong> that was displayed as a part of bot creation.<\/span><\/li>\n
    5. Select <\/span>Yes<\/strong> and then click <\/span>Save<\/strong> to enable the Telegram Channel for your bot.
