Adding the Cisco Tropo channel to your Kore.ai assistant is a three-step process to allow end-users to interact using their <\/span>Tropo<\/span><\/em> accounts. To complete this procedure, you must already have a <\/span>Tropo<\/span><\/em> account and be a member of a <\/span>Tropo<\/span><\/em> team.<\/span><\/p>\n

To get started, go to the XO Platform and select the VA that you want to add the Cisco Tropo channel to, then follow the steps below. .<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 1: Configure your Tropo App<\/span><\/span><\/h1>\n

  1. Log in and navigate to <\/span>My Apps.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Click on <\/span>Create New App.

    \n<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. Provide all the required information. Use the <\/span>Callback URL <\/strong>available in the Configurations tab of the channel configuration page within the XO Platform, and provide it for defining the <\/span>Type of Application<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n\r\n\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t<\/div>\r\n

    Important<\/b>: The Callback URL now includes the streamid<\/i><\/b> in the API request to identify the virtual assistant being accessed. When an incoming request is qualified with this identifier, it helps with traceability, troubleshooting, and remediation at the network level during anomalies like malicious calls or unusual bot activity.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\r\n\t

    1. Click on <\/span>Create App<\/strong> to complete the app creation. You will be redirected to the <\/span>Details <\/span><\/em>page of your app.

    2. Make note of the <\/span>Application Name, Application Type<\/span><\/em> and <\/span>Phone Number<\/span><\/em> associated with your app, because you will need to provide them in the XO Platform, when configuring the channel.<\/span><\/li>\n
    3. Once the phone number is associated with the application, it can call the app to test using SIP client. Navigate to the <\/span>API Keys <\/strong>section, make note of the <\/span>messaging <\/em><\/strong>API Key<\/strong> so you can provide it within the XO Platform.

      Step 2: Configure the Tropo Channel within the XO Platform<\/span><\/span><\/h1>\n

      Next, navigate to the Configurations tab to review and complete the channel setup.<\/span><\/p>\n

      1. Select the assistant that you want to configure the Tropo channel for.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
      2. Go to <\/span>Deploy > Channels<\/strong> and select <\/span>Cisco Tropo<\/strong>. The channel setup window opens.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
      3. Click <\/span>Next <\/strong>or select the <\/span>Configurations <\/strong>tab.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
      4. Provide the app details you configured within Tropo: the <\/span>Application Name, Application Type <\/strong>and <\/span>Phone Number<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
      5. Enter the <\/span>API Key <\/strong>retrieved from within Tropo.<\/span><\/li>\n
      6. Choose whether you want to <\/span>send a VCF contact card <\/strong>upon the installation of your VA on this channel.<\/span><\/li>\n
      7. Select <\/span>Yes <\/strong>and click <\/span>Save <\/strong>to enable the channel.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
